Introduction
The Doctoral Program in Economic Analysis and Business Strategy arises from the commitment of a group of professors from the Faculties of Economic and Business Sciences of the three Universities of the Galician University System (SUG) who intend to join efforts to train researchers capable of publishing their work in Internationally distributed journals specializing in economics and in academic journals featured in the Journal of Citation Report (JCR).
The program aims to train students who are able to handle theoretical models fluently and acquire the necessary skills to use econometric techniques that allow them to obtain verifiable information from empirical economic data.
The relevance of the research lines on which the program focuses is reflected in the scientific productivity of the research groups involved. The program aims for each student to be integrated into one of the research groups in which the researchers promoting this program are grouped.

Ideal Students
In general, those students who complete a Master's program in Economics and/or Business that familiarizes the student with the main theoretical paradigms and methods of empirical analysis will be admitted to the Doctoral Program in Economic Analysis and Business Strategy. of their specialization.
- Good academic performance is understood to mean that you obtained an average grade of notable in your previous studies.
- By sufficient theoretical and empirical training we generally mean that you have an accredited course in econometrics (6 credits) and microeconomics (6 credits) or finance (6 credits) and business economics (6 credits) at an advanced level.
In addition, students from other Master's programs that, in the opinion of the CAPD, equip the student to successfully undertake the Program may be admitted to the Doctoral Program in Economics and Business. For example, from master's degrees in engineering, mathematics or statistics.

In the event that students lack the complete prior training required in the program, admission will be conditional on passing specific training complements. The Academic Committee of the Doctoral Program will determine in each case the training complements that each student must take, which will not exceed 15 ECTS at most.
The training complements will take the form of undergraduate subjects (Economics or Business Administration and Management, as the case may be) or, preferably, a Master's program that will depend on the student's profile. For those students coming from a Master's degree in the scientific or technological field, the training complements will focus, also depending on each case, on introductory economics subjects.

The proposal responds to the intention to integrate researchers from the different areas of Economics and Business from the Faculties of Economics and Business Sciences of the Universities of Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo, who carry out quality research, in the same doctoral program. proven by its publications in scientific journals of international prestige.
