Introduction
Generate knowledge that provides elements for the solution of problems related to subjective well-being and resilience, interpersonal relationships, among others. Develop relevant research on psychosociocultural problems that use the methods, techniques and tools of qualitative and quantitative data analysis, as well as generate knowledge and proposals for intervention in vulnerable populations.

- Professionals with a Master's Degree in Psychology or in related areas, such as Education, and other disciplines of the Social Sciences such as Social Anthropology or Sociology.
- Professionals interested in the bio-psychosociocultural development of the population and the improvement of the quality of life and the promotion of mental and emotional health.
- Professionals interested in researching vulnerable groups from an ethical and committed perspective.
When studying at ITESO
- Program focused on intervention and research projects located in the communities and linked through agreements with government agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- It is an inter-institutional program that is offered together with the Universidad Iberoamericana Mexico City, both institutions share the Jesuit educational style with a focus on social transformation, which understands academic quality as the generation of knowledge linked to its context.
- Focused on the construction of knowledge in the study and care of psychological health problems and needs generated by a context of precariousness, violence and insecurity.
- It has a network of researchers who, due to its interdisciplinary approach with a transversal collaborative approach, facilitates research with other ITESO programs and with other universities of the Jesuit University System (SUJ).
- It has agreements to carry out research stays in other national and international universities.
As a graduate of this program
- Identifies, based on qualitative and quantitative paradigms, the characteristics of psychosociocultural research designs to propose strategies and methodological articulation of any project.
- Develop research projects in a specialty field in psychology that provide new explanations and solutions to study problems.
- Disseminates scientific information obtained in any investigation, even in written and face-to-face media at a national and international level.
- Evaluates scientific research projects in the field of psychology and with various areas of human knowledge, to recognize trends or areas of research opportunity.

The main Lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge (LGAC) of the doctorate are:
- Social and Cultural Psychology: investigate psycho-socio-cultural processes, conditions and factors that affect the development of individuals, groups, communities, institutions and societies.
- Clinical and health psychology: Generate collective research products and exchange methods and topics related to the field of health psychology and psychotherapy
- Psychosocial vulnerability and quality of life: analyzes models of psychosocial interventions and evaluates their application in vulnerable populations to improve their quality of life.
- Ethno-psychology, gender and interpersonal relationships: generating explanatory models of human behavior integrating an ethnopsychological model.
- Line of research: Neurophysiology and behaviour: study of the interaction between biological and social factors that underlie behaviour, emotions and human health.
The subjects of the study plan are subject to constant updating and there may be changes regarding their order or their content.
