General Objective: To train researchers who are capable of producing original knowledge about educational realities and apply it creatively with the purpose of contributing, with an ethical sense, to solving problems and attending to educational needs, through the formulation of foundations that support innovations and educational reforms at the regional and national level.

The study plan offers its graduates a high-level academic training characterized by five central dimensions: Develop a multidisciplinary training of excellence in the vast field of Nanotechnology and Materials Science and Engineering, which includes basic studies of matter, its intimate structure, its atomic configuration, physical, chemical, physicochemical and biophysical properties; generate in students a deep level of competence in the domain of the various analytical, experimental and computational methodologies, for the processing, synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials; develop and enrich a training of teaching skills at the higher education and postgraduate level; link the training of its graduates to the development needs of the productive sector; and develop researchers of excellence and ethics, with a high level of originality, independence and scientific methodology.

General Objective: Train personnel with the capacity for development, analysis and evaluation of electronic technology in different specialties, proposing lines of research in the area of interest, independently.

General Objective: Train high-level researchers who contribute to the generation of basic and applied knowledge in the various areas of the humanistic disciplines, promoting the convergence and interaction of the humanities with other sciences and disciplines.

General Objective: Prepare specialized personnel in any of the areas of Physics with the capacity to propose and undertake their own, relevant and viable research projects that have an impact on the scientific and technological development of the country.

General Objective: Train highly qualified personnel in the areas of chemistry, biology and health sciences, with an interdisciplinary vision, which contributes to solving health problems.

General Objective: Train personnel of the highest academic and professional level in chemical engineering and its related fields, capable of carrying out research to generate new knowledge or technological developments that contribute to solving problems of national interest.

General Objective: Train personnel of a high academic level and with autonomy to efficiently carry out the activities of generation, application and dissemination of frontier knowledge in the area of Materials Science.

General Objective: Offer a framework of specialized academic training to graduates of Biological Sciences, Chemists-Biologists, Chemical Engineering, Agronomist and related careers, training excellent-level human resources, with a solid preparation in various areas of science, who are capable of carry out original and independent research that represents significant advances in the field of Food Science and Technology, with greater emphasis on the areas of grains and aquaculture products. Likewise, provide them with an in-depth and comprehensive overview so that they are able to identify relevant problems in their areas of work and generate applicable knowledge.

General Objective: Train high-level researchers to carry out scientific and technological research independently, with a broad capacity to contribute to basic and applicable research that generates frontier knowledge in the areas of biosciences and natural resources.

The Doctorate in Educational Research offers three lines of generation and application of knowledge (LAGC). Within the framework of these lines of research, doctoral students develop original research projects, which represent contributions to the advancement of knowledge and/or to the understanding of relevant educational problems.

The doctorate is aimed at Graduates in Psychology, who have a Master's Degree in Psychology or a related discipline: Sociology, Educational Sciences, Anthropology, Social Work, Communication Sciences, Health Sciences, Philosophy.

The Inter-institutional Doctorate in Art and Culture (DIAC) is the result of the conjunction of academic efforts of the Public Universities of the Central West Region of the ANUIES in which the following universities participate: Autónoma de Aguascalientes; from Guadalajara; of Guanajuato and the Michoacana of San Nicolás de Hidalgo. It has been created for the training of specialists duly trained in the analysis, research and dissemination of culture and art, from the local and regional spheres of Mexico to the appropriate and necessary reflection on these issues in a global dimension. Although Latin American culture and art is proposed as a fundamental object of study, the links that this geographical area has with other cultural systems are not excluded in any way.
