Given its characteristics, the Ph.D. program in Regional Development Sciences is aimed at graduates of master's degrees related to some discipline of economic, administrative, social, and humanities sciences. And it is that the region is not exclusive to a scientific discipline, but to all those that affect the social space. That is why we speak of regional development sciences, which are intended to study and interpret some aspect of the development of society, but this must be done from an integral vision, and not applicative as it has been until now. Being then, the fundamental objective of this Doctorate Program, the preparation of specialized professionals whose mission will be to analyze regional development as an integrating situation of the various sciences that influence it. Therefore, the concept itself, of Regional Development Sciences, is dedicated to investigating the social space from a complementary perspective among the various scientific visions that affect the development of human beings in their collective coexistence. -

The PIDA is a postgraduate course of high academic level, recognized by the National Quality Postgraduate Program (PNPC) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) as a Program of International Competence. It arose in an alliance of Universities of the Central West Region, which, combining their resources and competences, today offer a program that reaches the highest quality standards, to which its Basic Academic Nucleus, made up of twenty-seven professors - researchers with solid academic training, high level of qualification and great experience in the field of research in Architecture. This doctoral program of great academic quality has existed since 2002 and was a pioneer of its kind in the Central West Region of the country; The Autonomous University of Aguascalientes participates in it, The PIDA was created in response to the urgent need to have highly trained people in the areas of Architecture, who are capable of developing high-level research and teaching activities in order to raise the academic quality of the educational programs that are offered. they offer in the region and in the country, as well as to encourage the generation and dissemination of knowledge. -
