The Doctoral Study Program in Transport Technology and Management is designed to provide students with a theoretical and methodological background of transport technology and management (including postal and courier services) in compulsory subjects. Attention is paid mainly to the use of mathematical and other methods in transport management and to research methods. The aim of the study is to prepare erudite professionals and scientists in the field of transport technology and management (including postal and courier services) who are able to analyze complex problems in the field. They will be able to do this by using results of the analyses to propose appropriate solutions and control systems, based on their own scientific research in close connection with the application in practice. Increasing students' competencies in selected areas of transport and postal and courier services is assured by an offer of compulsory-elective courses focused on investment decision-making, logistics systems, modeling of technological processes, data structures and algorithms, and security management. An integral part of the professional education is an excursion within an exchange program or internship abroad or involvement in an international creative project with results published or presented abroad, and targeted language preparation. Fulfilling the study objectives will enable students to become top professionals, researchers and scientists involved in transport technology, management, postal and courier services equipped with the necessary competencies applicable to scientific departments and institutions, universities and other research and development workplaces. -
